So I had spare parts laying around to build a 2nd PC out of it. It's basically a computer I used ~7 years ago myself. It was a prebuilt Acer Aspire m5201 (4x 1gb DDR2, Phenom x4 9100e, 640gb wd green) with additionally installed Chieftec 400w psu and 8800gts.

I used a docking station today to format a new drive and was going to copy my digital photos HDD to it but nothing is showing up in Computer but my OS, the optical drive and my digital photos drive. Repair or replace hard drive

I just received a windows message saying that I should repair or replace my harddrive. I am hoping to get some advice.
I am using a lenovo y580, which is known for hard drive heating issue. To resolve this, I took out the DVD drive, bought a HD caddy and replaced my hard drive into the DVD drive bay which reduced the heat significantly.

External Hard Drive Not Detecting. Disk 1 Unknown.

My external (seagate) hard drive can be detected, but it won't show on My Computer. I tried few options however the device is still not being recognised.

Microsoft Sidewinder X4 - Instant Viewer Too Fast, Makes me Furious
I'm searching everywhere, no luck on M$ support. My keyboart funciont of the instant viewer is out of control.
When I try to use it, the screen changes so fast, I can't even use this function at all.
The drivers are all up to date, it's the only keyboard installed on the machine. All other functions work fine.

Freecom 400Gb USB external HDD
I have a powered Freecom 400 USB external hard drive that worked perfectly on a Windows XP-based system, then on a Q6600+Asus P5Q Deluxe-based Windows 7 64-bit Pro system. Very High CPU usage on games - programs.

So.. i've got an issue with my cpu (which i'm 100% sure it is around).

Do I have to leave a check mark in the box in RAMdisk?
I have a question and not sure if I should uncheck the check mark in the box in my RAMdisk on my SSD. Here is below:

Solved Bad block on harddrive
Hi,
In Event Viewer I am receiving the following error.....The device\Device\Harddisk1\DR 1, has a bad block
Is there anything I can run besides chkdsk /f? Also, besides taking the laptop apart, is there a way to tell if a laptop has a regular laptop harddrive or an SSD in it? Any help is greatly appreciated.
