Win7 can't find audio recording device

I have a Pinnacle 510 USB audio/video capture device. I have the latest driver I'm aware of. It shows up in device manager as a sound/video/game controller, no problems. I can capture video from it, but no audio. I think if I use the Pinnacle software that came with it, I can get it to work, but not in MovieMaker or Cyberlink Powerdirector.
